I have been frustrated for some time with the hosting platform that I built Model Airplane Collectors on. I have wanted to build in additional features for a long time but my hands are tied without full access to the back end programming. I also do not have the power to pick up and move our content to another server of my own on a platform that I build from the ground up.
With that said I have the knowledge and the means now to provide the absolute best…Continue

Check out the new 1:200 Gemini Jets Emirates A380!
The last time I wrote a blog about visiting Troy's Toys I focused mainly on the airplane models since that was the primary focus of our site. Now that we are expanding and opening the site up to models of every category I thought I would pay a visit to Troy's again and take a few pictures of his whole operation!
These were taken with my iPhone and are not professional photos by far but I hope everyone will enjoy them! I am just going to quit yacking and start…Continue

I have been working on a mobile app for the site for quite some time. In order to take the next step and actually pay to have our app carried in the Apple and Android stores I need to have some feedback. Please comment on this blog post and let me know if a mobile app is something you would use and if you would be willing to purchase the app for a few dollars to help justify the costs associated with its development. I would also like to see what you would like to be…Continue
I am needing some help with identifying this model and where it came from and who made it. I was told that it was from the Douglas factory and used as a design/production prototype. It is resin and very accurate in my opinion. It is approximately 7 1/2" long. It does have a hole for a stand and it is sitting on one of my 1:200 Gemini Jets stands in the photos. It is very old and has yellowed with age. There are no chips or damage to the model at all.
If anyone has any information or…

I have decided to sell my entire 1:400 collection. I have decided to focus entirely on 1:200 and let someone else enjoy some rare 1:400 in perfect condition at a very good price.
Make me an offer on any of my 1:400 models listed in my collection. Each serious offer will be considered. A good place to start would be the average price suggested for each model in the DAC database. First come, first serve. Buy five or more at a time and receive free shipping!
