Century Wings and Hobby Master Preorder News

Preorder News from Century Wings and Hobby Master

Century Wings:
Century Wings is releasing their first ever Christmas Edition F-14 Jolly Rogers model. This will also have a special box design. As everyone knows, Century Wings F-14's sell out extremely fast but the Jolly Rogers sell out even faster and it's been over 2 years since the last Jolly Rogers rolled off the assembly line for them. This is a fantastic paint scheme and with it being the first ever Christmas theme and with the special packaging, I'm positive this will be a sell out quickly.

Hobby Master:
The latest Hobby Master announcement is loaded with hot new items! With 17 models to choose from, be it a World War II dive-bomber, a Vietnam War fighter, or Air National Guard defenders, there is definitely something for all collectors!

A few of our favorites this time include a large, 1/32 scale Douglas SBD-1 Dauntless; a cutting-edge F/A-22 Raptor; and “Star of America,” a TWA Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation that has appeared in numerous television shows and movies.

The definite eye-catcher today, however, is the newly-tooled Signature Series P-47D Thunderbolt with a name plate autographed by ace Col. Steve Pisanos of the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, stationed in 1943 England. Nicknamed the “Flying Greek,” Pisanos flew to 10 victories during World War II.

Witty Sky Guardians Announcement:
Just confirming that it looks like the Witty Warbird line has finally come to an end. There are no responses to our inquiries to the factory, so I guess the lights are off. All preorder models will be canceled. It's not a big surpise as this line has had a hard time keeping up with the likes of Hobby Master, but they have done some very nice releases over the years and so these will become great collector items over time.

Oh man, maybe it's time to snap them up before they are all gone.

Yes that is too bad. My dad got a Thai 747 and it was very good quality.

I am so sad that Witty will be closing down :-(. They have been producing some of the best Russian military aircraft die cast models.
