Nest of Aviation, France owned, at the beginning of the Great War, only some tens of military aircrafts the top management(general staff) of which did not know too much what to do with. In the moment of the armistice of November 11th, 1918, the French military Aeronautics had become one of the most powerful of the world, gathering 10,000 devices distributed in about 300 squadrons. The French aircraft industry had been able to produce in four years 50,000 planes, many of them equipping numerous allied countries, among which Great Britain, Russia and especially the United States. This work, the first of his kind in French language, draws up a complete panorama of the evolution of the French military aviation from 1914 till 1918 through an historical record spanglred with anecdotes and illustrated with numerous photographs and color profiles.
