Hello, Ike!

The ALVIS Saladin is a heavier armored car than the M8 and of later service. The M8 and M20 served during WWII for recco tasks. The Saladin appeared in the 70ies and was more heavily armed: 76mm main gun vs 0.50 mg and 37mm main gun (M8). The M8 should more accurately be compared to the Humber in the Allied side and the SdKfz 221 / 231 series in the German side.

Many thanks reacting to my post!!

Jeff

Very sweet Jeff. How does this compare with what they call a Saladin armoured car or are they the same category?
