Flown by Major Walter Nowotny, Kommandoführer, Achmer, It's aboard this plane Nowotny found his death aged 24 the 8th Nov.1944. He was shot down by P51 Mustangs in unkown circomstances, after he himself shot down a P51 and a B24. He totalized 258 victories most of them claimed on the Eastern front. He wore the Ritterkreuz with Oakleaves and diamonds.
