The L-188 preserved at the museum is PP-VJM (c/n 1024).

My first flight on any airplane was on PP-VLC in 1973. And I was there when the Electras made their final flights on January, 6th, 1992 (I had flown from SDU to CGH on PP-VJO)... Today there's only one L-188 preserved in VARIG colors at Museu Aeroespacial (Aerospace Museum, the FAB - Brazilian Air Force aviation museum) at Campo dos Afonsos, Rio de Janeiro, together with FAB Viscount, HS-748 and DC-3.
