 i am just new in model airplane collecting; i actually started late last year, when i came across and bought, without hesitation, two (2) 18-inch desktop commercial airplane model, i.e., Boeing 747-400, in house colors, and MD 11, in fantasy Coca-cola colors! i am already old, 53 years old, working as an employee (as senior business development manager) in a conglomerate here in the Philippines. admittedly, i am addicted to planes since i was young; my poor beginnings restricted me to just stare for very long minutes at commercial airplane models displayed at travel agencies located within my father's place of work; he was working then in a 4-star hotel in Roxas Boulevard, Manila - this addiction was obviously the reason why i bought that planes, now that i have the financial capacity to buy them!

my collection has grown a little since then:

1:400 scale: (bought new, mint in box)

Phoenix - PAL, B747-400; Korean, B747-400 (Warcraft); Virgin, B747-400 (Harry Potter); Thai, B777-300ER; PIA, B777-300ER; Etihad, A340-600;

Gemini - PAL, B777-300ER(?)

1:200 scale: (bought new, mint in box)

Phoenix - Boeing House Colors, B787-8 Dreamliner;

Gemini - Delta, B777-200LR; United, B767-300; TWA, B757-200; PAL, A320-200; Cebu Pacific, A320-200;

Aviation - PAL, DC 10-30;

1:500 scale: (bought loose from a collector, no box)

Herpa - PAL, B747-400; Air Force One, B747-200; PAL, A340-300; Lufthansa, B767-300; Air France, B737-300 (?);

i also have military planes, all in 1:72 scale:

Sky Guardians - F14D Tomcat (Black); F14 (Miramar); F15 Eagle; F18 Super Hornet;

Dragon Wings - F18 Super Hornet.

by the way, i just came back from a pleasure trip to Singapore; unlucky to find a collectors shop, where i could find and buy rare models i have been salivating to have! anyway, my only consolation is that, i did not end up empty-handed; i came across and bought from a simple, small store in Lucky Plaza, an 18-inch, desktop model of Singapore Airlines, A380!
