Where did you hear about our site?
I found it as a link on one of the other airplane/airline model websites.

Hi Ya'll !

Glad to be 'on board' and with the group.  Have been an avid collector for most of my life although not so much over the past few years or so.  But in my early 'single-digit' and even later years, I was an 'airline and airliner geek', and still kind of am.  Back in the 'day', my parents would buy me for my B Days, brand new Aero-Mini planes.  Little did I know that my collection had basically started way back then, in the late 60s & early 70s.  As time went by, they bought me more models up to a point and then other things & life interests (like girls!) basically took over and I didn't look back until probably I was in my 30s.  I know an awful lot of info about airliners, esp. from the 70s, and always wanted to be an airline pilot.  I even got accepted into the Air Force Officer Candidate School out of high school but when they said I wouldn't fly 'cuz of my vision which had to be 20/20 or better uncorrected at the time, I basically went the typical college route instead.  Now I work for the Federal Government in DC, flying a cubicle ~ LoL ! ~.  Have done flight lessons and have soloed in a Piper Warrior.  Still have to finish that up and hopefully get my liscense and then maybe move up to instrument and multi-engine.

When the internet started in the mid-late 90s, I began to find just by chance, aero-minis available from collectors and eventually a few years later, Ebay ! ~ Today, my parents have passed away but I found my old aero-mini collection and have added greatly to it.  I think I now have almost two of nearly every aero mini ! ~ LoL ! ~

Then only a few years back, I began an interest in the other more modern manufactureres.  I have started a small collection of GJ 250 scale such as the United and Delta DC-8s (which I wanted cuz the wheels fold up like the aero-minis), Inflight 200 such as the Delta 727-200 & DC-9-10, and, a Herpa Premium Continental 737.

I love the 200 scale models for some reason more than the other scales.  Maybe its cuz they are close to the aero-minis I grew up with.  Also love the late 60s, all of 70s, and early 80s liveries for U.S. airlines primarily along with 727s, 737s, DC-9s & MD-80s, DC-10s, & L-10lls, & some 747s of that time period.

Anyway, now that I've bored ya'll, LoL, but if ya got this far thanks for reading all my blabity blah and its great to be a new member and to be 'on-board !'

I am sure everyone would love to see some photos of your Aero Mini collection! I have only one which is a TWA 747. They are so hard to find I gave up on trying to collect any more although I would love to have the whole collection!
