We all know that Soviet/Russian aircraft are named after their designers. In fact, most Russian weaponry share the same characteristic. Beriev, Ilyushin, Sukhoi, MiG (Mikoyan and Gurevich), Tupolev, Yakovlev and Myasishchev are names of remarkable design bureaus that produced legendary aircraft. In this post, I will illustrate the short biographies of the founders of Russia's famous design bureaus and the aircraft they have produced.

nice article bro. it actually encouraged me to suggest the creation of a dedicated group for russian aircraft and tanks on MAC. what do you think ??

I was actually thinking about that. We do have a lot of members who collect Russian air and ground vehicles.

Awesome post, Ahmed! Very interesting and well documented. A quick review of Russians conceptors.Useful reference for amateurs of USSR production.
