who am i?
- most people know me the best as kai aka b-16707 at DAC
- i make detail decals @ sites.google.com/site/kaisdecals
- i collect only in 1:200. no trinkets please.
- i make custom models. not run of the mill liveries, but usually particular one-offs that arent pre-manufactured already or will never have a chance at being manufactured
- even though i do this, i dont consider "stripping and decaling a pre made model" a true "custom"
- i love plastic models and will argue with you readily that diecast is a big money-scheming plot. i love plastic for its cost, fine-ness of molded parts, and storage-ability
- i dont usually touch diecast models even with a 10ft pole. i use that 10ft pole for more useful purposes like line drying my laundry. but when there is a good diecast model not available in plastic, ill succumb
- i am a huge Eva Air fan and collect and build their models, even fantasy ones
- i also collect and build airliners that ive flown on before as mementos to myself
- i am a fan of buying cheap plastic models and detailing and making them more accurate. i admire work put into models. the sense of completion and ownership outweighs something handed to me completed on a silver platter
- i also love trains. and i think compared with the train hobby, the airplane collecting hobby has alot of catching up to do

in this world of fast paced change and individuals always lusting for the latest and greatest, most flashiest, fastest, lcd and rhinestone ridden toys, there are always bound to be people and things left behind. the ones left behind are what i call: the quiet beauties. they have been silenced by advancement yet when examined, they exude a timeless beauty of their own.
