XR219 BAC TSR-2 Prototype

Bought this little kit from http://www.helmet-aircraft-200.co.uk/ they have some really nice models, and offer them in both completed to your specification of kit form. I chose the kit form as I enjoy modeling, and here's the result. The whitewash TU-160 made an appearance too, the scale of the blackjack dwarfs the TSR-2. Comment by Ben Godlington on January 21, 2011 at 5:31pm: It's diecast metal and very sturdy, same feel as any smaller diecast 1:200 model, and no the kit doesn't come painted, you have to pay about triple the price for painted and built examples, although I am sure they are very good

Comment by Bryce Rea on January 21, 2011 at 10:51am: What type of material is it? Does it come painted already? It looks a lot like a paper product. Is it sturdy when completed? They have a lot of planes that would be good to use as extras on dioramas and airports.
